Review Guidelines

De Bourcier Publishing Ltd — England & Wales

These guidelines describe how we commission, score, and publish reviews, including our approach to submissions and complaints.

Scope & Selection

We review crime fiction, thrillers, mystery, true crime, and selected adjacent categories.

Titles are selected for reader value, cultural relevance, and editorial balance.

Methodology & Scoring

We apply a structured matrix (Narrative Craft 25%, Authenticity 25%, Thematic Depth 20%, Reader Impact 15%, Market Resonance 15%) to arrive at an overall score out of 10.

Scores reflect the reviewer’s considered judgement and are not subject to external revision.

Submissions & Advance Copies

We accept pitches and advance copies but cannot guarantee coverage. Unsolicited materials are not returned.

Providing a copy does not influence editorial outcomes.

Editing, Accuracy & Right of Reply

Reviews are edited for clarity and legal compliance. Minor edits may occur after publication.

Authors/publishers may submit factual corrections with citations; we will assess and correct where appropriate.

Complaints

To raise a concern, email infol@debourcierpublishing.com with the URL, the issue, and supporting evidence. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
